Sundays
It’s all about life in Jesus.
We gather each week to celebrate the hope, joy, and resurrection life found in him. Together, we experience God’s presence, encourage one another, and step into his calling for our lives. Our desire is that every person who joins us - whether new or familiar - would leave inspired, renewed, and ready to see his life transform individuals, families, and communities across the island.
What to expect
Our Sunday gatherings are relaxed, welcoming, and centred on Jesus. We begin with a time of sung worship - lifting our voices together, creating space to encounter God’s presence, and allowing time to share scriptures and words of encouragement. After that, we share a few updates and stories of what’s happening across church life before hearing teaching from the Bible that helps us grow in faith and live out God’s calling in everyday life. We usually finish with a song and then take time to enjoy refreshments, connect, and build community.
Whether it’s your first time or you’ve been part of True Vine for years, you’ll find a space to belong and be part of what God is doing across the island.

Frequently Asked Questions
We know visiting somewhere new can bring a few questions - and we’d love to help make your first visit as easy and enjoyable as possible. Below you’ll find some practical details about what to expect on a Sunday and how to find your way around.
-
We don’t have a dedicated car park, but there’s plenty of on-street parking on Sunday mornings (and after 6 pm during the week when yellow-line restrictions lift) right on Newport High Street. There are also local pay-and-display spaces nearby - please check the signs for any restrictions or fees.
-
Yes - we’re just a 2-3 minute walk from Newport Bus Station, which connects to many parts of the Isle of Wight. Visit the local bus website for current timetables.
-
We’re a non-denominational church with a modern, relaxed feel and a heart for the gospel. Our style is contemporary and welcoming - but more than anything, we’re about life in Jesus and community on the island. You can explore our statement of faith if you’d like to know more.
-
Our gatherings start at 10:30am. We start with worship, share some family announcements, then listen to a Bible-based talk lasting 30-40 minutes, finishing with a song.
There’s also an opportunity for financial offerings to be made, though there is no obligation for visitors.
Afterwards we enjoy tea, coffee and chat together - it’s a great time to connect.
-
No - we want you to come as you are. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in, as long as it’s family-friendly and respectful. For more formal occasions like weddings, you may see people dressing up.
-
We ask that you don’t bring dogs to the service as we don’t have facilities for them. Assistance dogs are always welcome.
-
We offer a staffed creche during the talk, located at the back of the auditorium. Baby changing is available in the female and accessible toilets on the same level.
-
Absolutely. For primary school children we have a group that starts after worship - parents sign their children in through the left-hand doors next to the main stage. For those in secondary school we have a dedicated group too - they head off after worship and gather in the foyer.
-
We have a lift from the ground-floor entrance up to the 1st and 2nd floors. On-street parking with a blue badge is available. Our main auditorium is on the 1st floor, and there’s an accessible toilet on the 2nd floor. Please note: the café area and lower meeting room are not wheelchair accessible - if you’re with us we’ll happily bring refreshments to yoy. If you have specific accessibility needs, just email us and we’ll do our best to help.
-
No, but we do offer live service translation and speech-to-text for those hard of hearing and for whom English is their second language.
