Everyone should have the chance to explore the Christian faith, ask questions, and share their point of view. Our explore groups offer a space to do just that. It's a great way to meet new people, explore life's big questions, and discover more about the Christian faith - all in a friendly, informal setting.

What is Alpha?
A place to explore.
Alpha is an opportunity to explore the big questions of life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open, and informal environment. We intentionally create a relaxed and low-pressure atmosphere so no question is off the table, and everyone is welcome. Alpha has been running all over the world for the last couple of decades in churches, pubs, prisons, and homes, where nearly 30 million people have taken part and loved the experience.
What happens at Alpha?
Talks that make you think.
Alpha runs over 8 sessions. Each week, we watch a short film on various topics. After you’ve watched, you’ll join others to engage in an open, honest discussion. There’s also a Saturday half day which gives us the chance to spend a longer period of time together. If you are meeting together in person, we provide snacks and drinks each week.
How can I sign up?
Alpha runs once per term, giving you the opportunity to join a friendly, relaxed course three times a year. Each course lasts 8 weeks, and includes weekly talks, discussion time, and a shared meal.
Our next course starts on Tuesday 20th January 2026. We recommend signing up early to secure your place.
